Ambassador Sabah Fedel was received in audience on August 28, 2025, by His Excellency Ambassador Eduard Bizimana, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Regional Integration and Development Cooperation, as part of a courtesy visit.

The discussions between the two diplomats focused on several issues of mutual interest, including strengthening bilateral cooperation between Algeria and Burundi, as well as Burundi's participation in the 4th edition of the Intra-African Trade Fair (IATF 2025), scheduled to take place in Algiers from September 4 to 10, 2025.
